If there is something that we all have in common, that is probably sleeping. We all sleep! No matter how old or young you are, it is always a necessity to live... and therefore, we must all sleep. haha. Obviously, with school right now, it has been quite hard to get a good sleep. Sleeping late and waking up at 7am really sucks. So whenever i get the chance to peacefully embrace the pillows and bask among the 100% cotton cushion that my bed has to offer, i truly cherish every moment of it. But of course, a bed with pillows will not be complete without the magical body warmer we call, the
blanket. I am the type of person that can't sleep without a blanket, so having it wrapped around me is always a fundamental part of my sleep. Sleeping without a blanket is just simply lying down in bed and cannot be considered sleeping at all. Perhaps, there is something about a blanket that makes sleeping very mysterious and relaxing. But one day, when i was about it put my blanket on, this thought suddenly hit me, why is the blanket called a BLANKet? Obviously, a blanket is something that covers you up during your sleep, but with a name like that, i think it's quite confusing. hmmm... isn't the root word of BLANKet, BLANK??? hahaha. maybe not, but the word BLANK is there for a reason. If i visually envision the word balnket when i see my blanket, all I see is 5 blanks and the letters e and t (_____et). Quite puzzling but for me it makes a lot of sense. haha. With this thought in mind, sleeping with it just felt really cold and empty. :( I guess i will never look at my blanket the same way ever again. So, just to avoid confusion from the word BLANK and to bring back the glorious feeling of sleeping with a blanket, i just simply changed the name of my blanket from BLANKet to
bedburritto. Don't ask, but yeah... it's called bedburritto. Afterall, no matter what it's called, that thing that covers you up in your sleep is something that gives life a little bit of warmth and relaxation in this mystical world filled with coldness and apathy. :)
